"Grand Modele", refinished deep deep marroon, maple back and sides, spruce top, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. I bought this guitar in France and showed it to Francois Charle. we looked at it and could not figure out who made it..it is a very very good souding and playing gypsy guitar.. it's got a man's neck, just like the ones they made in the fifties. "Grand Modèle", 14 Fret Oval Hole, 675mm scale.
this is a beautiful gypsy guitar in excellent original condition.
laminated Rosewood back and sides, solid spruce top, Mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard, original Salvatore Bilardi (of SB fame) tailpiece and tuners that turn backwards.Dupont replacement bridge. The guitar had a paper label inside, but only the ouline remains. I suspect it was from Paul Beuscher, from the quality of the instrument..this is an outstanding guitar with no issues and in terrific condition..
genuine gypsy guitar through and through.. NHSC SOLD

I have been told these guitars were made in Italy.. solid spruce top, laminated walnut back and sides.mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard.. recent Schaller tuners.dead on gypsy sound.. lots of character, and with a 685mm scale (27') it's just about the longest scale instrument I have ever encountered.
Ted just pointed me to a photo of Hono Winterstein
at Samois in 02 playing the guitar on stage... NHSC SOLD
